Freshers Corner

In India, there large number of IT, BPO and KPO companies are available. Companies like HCL, CTS, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Polaris HP, Virtusa, Emphasis, Tech Mahindra, Motorola, Quinnox, Unisys, Siemens, Google, IBM, Microsoft, and other companies are conducting off campus drive in India colleges and in private places. Off campus placement drive follow certain regulation while you are applying for it. That deals with the percentage of your marks obtained, which year passouts and communication skills. I have prepared this section entirely for IT freshers, here I have tried to provide the common selection approach that is followed by the top recruiting companies. Recruiters will not ask your work experience in offcampus recruitment drive and it is the only one advantage.
Note : The company selection process can be changes with out prior notice or these can be changes based on demographic, college, state, company requirement etc.

TCS Selection Process :

TCS Technical Round:
In the technical round, some of the subjects that you will be tested include C, JAVA, and DBMS. Along with them, prepare on two more subjects from your branch. In most of the technical interviews, the interview panel will ask your favorite subject- in the case of which you can speak out the subjects that you have prepared.
TCS Managerial Round:
This round is elimination in most of the cases. This is another technical interview but under pressure. Confidence matters a lot in this round as the interviewers are going to check whether one is able to manage the stress or not. The interview panel tries to push one out of one's comfort zone. Keep calm and answer the questions that one knows. If the answer is not known, then don't give up, try attempting it with one's knowledge.
TCS HR Round:
In the HR round, the interview panel questions you everything and anything related to your personality, family, education, hobbies, internships, work experience (if relevant), general knowledge, etc. While we would be sharing various Interview questions based on students' experiences in the Forums of Conduira Online, we suggest you go through GDPI videos in the Learning Center of Conduira Online to understand and to learn the right answers to these questions. Link is available in reference section.

Accenture Recruitment Process:

With the competition during Campus Placements growing every year, you need to be better prepared to get selected by a company. First of all things, you need to know about the companies visiting your Campus especially their recruitment process. Here, we will discuss one of the campus recruitment processes followed by Accenture, during the year 2016-17.
They have a recruitment process which consists of two rounds
a) written round
b) personal interview.
Accenture looks for people with 60 or more percentage. Also, you did not have an education gap of more than two years. The Accenture written round has two patterns.
Pattern A consists of three sections
a)Quantitative Ability
b)Verbal Ability
c)Logical Reasoning

Each section contains 25 questions and the total time given is 95 minutes.
Verbal Ability contains questions on vocabulary and grammar- synonyms, antonyms, paragraph completion, sentence completion etc
Logical Reasoning questions include questions on arrangement puzzles, reading data from bar graphs, pie charts etc
Quantitative Ability consists of questions on time, speed distance, geometry, profit and loss, percentages, geometry and number systems.
There is one more pattern which consists of Analytical Aptitude, Verbal Ability and attention to detail with 20, 20 and 15 questions in each section respectively. Total time given is 60 minutes.
Analytical aptitude and verbal ability sections are similar to the previous pattern.
Attention to detail section evaluates your patience and focus. I, being Holmes, having written the science of deduction and observation, I can handle this with ease.
Personal interview I have never been good with strangers. I am expected to talk about my past. I get very uncomfortable and I call it unpleasant business. You can expect questions on C, C++, and Operating Systems. Along with these, prepare on two subjects from your branch. You can talk about hobbies, internship experiences, summer projects, awards and achievements Along with these, you can talk about your violin and extra curricular activities like adventures in crime investigation.

Body language tips:

Everyone heard about "First impression is the last impression", as in the interview you will have hardly 5-10 minutes to impress the interviewer but if you lose the initial impression then it is always very difficult to recover from that so always follow the interview etiquettes. We found some tips below are the most important.
Practice smiling
Smiling not only makes you more attractive and trustworthy, it also improves your health, your stress level, and your feelings about yourself. Smiling slows the heart and relaxes the body, and it releases endorphins that counteract and diminish stress hormones. It also has been shown to increase productivity while performing tasks. According to several studies, smiling can trick your brain into feeling happy, even when you feel sad as you're smiling.
Pay attention to posture.
You practice good posture when your position sitting or standing creates the least amount of strain on supporting muscles and ligaments. When you sit, your back is straight, your rear is against the back of the chair, your feet are flat on the floor, and you bend your knees at a right angle
Remember your arms and legs.
Crossing your arms suggests you feel defensive, self-protective, and closed off. Crossing your legs away from another person can suggest you dislike them or feel discomfort. Crossing your ankles can signal you're holding something back and not expressing it (unless you're a woman who was taught to do this as a “ladylike” position).
If you clasp your hands behind your back, you might be saying you feel bored, anxious, or even angry. Hands clasped and crossed over the genitals is a self comfort gesture that reveals vulnerability or shyness. Tapping your fingers and fidgeting tells others you are bored, impatient, or frustrated.
Dress for confidence.
In a 2012 study published in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, subjects who wore doctors' lab coats scored higher on attention-related tasks than did those who did not.
Clothes do make a difference in how we perceive ourselves, and how others perceive us. Dressing confidently is more than wearing the trendiest fashion. It's about feeling good, looking poised and being self-assured in all situations.
It's also about sending the right message to the people you are with. You can boost your confidence about yourself and your attire when you dress appropriately for the occasion, know the audience, reflect your personal style, and understand the impact of color.
Stop fidgeting.
Over 500 managers surveyed by Adecco USA, a workforce solutions company, said that one fifth of the candidates they've rejected for a position were fidgeters. They felt it betrayed a lack of confidence and a lack of preparation for the interview.
Fidgeting, like twirling your hair, shaking your foot, or biting your nails, is an obvious sign of anxiety and nervousness. These nervous movements draw attention away from what you're saying and distract people from your message.
Avoid touching your face or neck which also indicates you feel anxious. Fidgeting sends the message loud and clear that you aren't self-assured.
Practice appropriate eye contact.
Eye contact suggests you're truthful, engaging, and approachable. It imparts a sense of intimacy and confidence to your interactions, and makes the other person feel more positive and connected to you. However, too much eye contact can send the signal you're aggressive or maybe even a little strange.
When eye contact goes from gazing to staring, it makes people uncomfortable and actually activates their sympathetic nervous system.

What is version checking in Hibernate ?

Version checking used in hibernate when more then one thread trying to access same data. For example : User A edit the row of the TABLE for update ( In the User Interface changing data This is user thinking time) and in the same time User B edit the same record for update and click the update. Then User A click the Update and update done. Change made by user B is gone. In hibernate you can prevent slate object updation using version checking. Check the version of the row when you are updating the row. Get the version of the row when you are fetching the row of the TABLE for update. On the time of updation just fetch the version number and match with your version number (on the time of fetching).

What are JEE Containers? What are their different types?

Containers are the interface between a component and the low-level, platform-specific functionality that supports the component. Before it can be executed, a web, enterprise bean, or application client component must be assembled into a Java EE module and deployed into its container. The assembly process involves specifying container settings for each component in the Java EE application and for the Java EE application itself. Container settings customize the underlying support provided by the Java EE server, including such services as security, transaction management, Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) API lookups, and remote connectivity. Here are some of the highlights. The Java EE security model lets you configure a web component or enterprise bean so that system resources are accessed only by authorized users. The Java EE transaction model lets you specify relationships among methods that make up a single transaction so that all methods in one transaction are treated as a
